Comparison of Quranic & non-Quranic Lifestyles
Dr. Abdul Mannan Baig
Human as specie, is considered as the most intelligent being of all of the life forms on earth. One of the many attributes that distinguishes humans from other creatures on earth is the sensitivity of the humans towards the rationale of living a satisfactory and happy life. In this modern era of technological advancement, it appears that the humans are racing towards gathering as much material gains as possible. The lust for wealth and power has remained the ambition of not only humans as individuals, but also the desires of the nations. Does this approach bring satiety and happiness to them remains a debatable question.
Time after time it has become glaringly obvious that even with enormous wealth and position, the humans have failed to achieve the aforementioned objective in their lifetime. The Holy Quran is the only scripture that has remained intact and unaltered from the day it was revealed to the Holy Prophet (pbuh). There is a common misunderstanding that Allah for- bids looking for joy of life and refrains humans from seeking happiness. The Quran, on the contrary, guides towards a life- style of sharing our blessings with the underprivileged to obtain the pleasure and content that the soul is searching for.
